The client

PRI (Principles for Responsible Investment) is a UN-supported international network of investors working to promote sustainable investment. Their membership comprises institutional investors, investment managers, and service providers managing trillions of dollars in assets globally.

PRI's digital platform is central to how they engage with their members: onboarding new signatories, delivering personalised advisory content, managing reporting frameworks, and providing access to research, tools, and learning resources. The platform isn't a brochure site — it's a working system that thousands of member organisations rely on daily.

The Challenge

PRI's existing digital infrastructure had reached its limits. The platform was built on a proprietary CMS that couldn't keep pace with the organisation's growth. Multiple disconnected systems held different pieces of the puzzle: member data in one place, content in another, reporting tools in a third, and learning resources somewhere else entirely.

For members, that meant several logins and an inconsistent experience. For PRI's own teams, it meant manual work, duplicated effort, and a platform that was difficult to change. Every new requirement collided with the limits of the old technology.

The Approach

We started where we always do — with the people using the platform. Through a service design discovery we mapped the journeys of signatories, members and PRI's own content teams, and audited the existing estate: more than 5,000 content items spread across disconnected systems.

That work told us the answer wasn't another CMS. PRI needed a single platform that could hold member data, content, reporting and learning in one place. We selected Salesforce Experience Cloud as the foundation and designed an information architecture and content model around how the organisation actually works.

The Solution

We built a full digital experience on Salesforce Experience Cloud — well beyond a standard member portal. Secure single sign-on gives every member one login and one account across the platform. Personalised advisory pathways, driven by CRM data, surface the right content, tools and reporting frameworks to each organisation.

Behind the scenes, we rationalised over 5,000 content items into a structured, governed content model, and connected reporting through Power BI and a set of custom API integrations. PRI's teams now create and manage pages, tools and learning content themselves — scalable, future-ready, and powering self-service across their global membership.

We redefined what Salesforce Experience Cloud can do. And it had never been done like this before.

The Outcomes

One connected system replaced a patchwork of disconnected tools. Members get a single, coherent experience; PRI's teams get a platform they can run and grow independently.

The content model is built to scale, reporting is live, and the foundation is ready for whatever the organisation needs next — a working system thousands of member organisations rely on every day.
