There are many different types of content that can be used as part of an inbound marketing strategy, but which have the greatest impact?

I’ve highlighted five examples of inbound marketing that will attract leads and fuel your inbound marketing strategy to grow your client base.

1) Blogs

Blogs come in at the top of the list because they’re relatively easy to produce and can be used throughout the buyer’s journey.

Consistent blog posts are an effective way to answer your prospects’ questions and establish authority over time. And, consistency is key as research shows those who publish blog content at least 16 times a month generate 3.5x more website traffic and 4.5x more leads compared to companies that only update their blogs a few times a month (Wordstream).

2) Downloadable guides

Guides are longer, more detailed pieces of content and are perceived as high value by prospects.

For optimum results, it’s advisable to make guides downloadable through a form fill landing page. Doing this means you capture prospect data that can be used for other marketing communications.

3) Video series

Video content resonates well on social media because it cuts through the noise and brings a business to life. It’s also an opportunity to repurpose written content and you can release regular instalments to keep your audience engaged.

It’s easy to get carried away when you’re talking to a camera, but if you plan to implement video we recommend not exceeding two minutes’ duration.

4) Ask and answer questions on social

On the subject of social media, you need to actively engage on your social platforms because many people now look to social media for news and answers. Connecting with people by replying and sharing others’ content enhances brand image and reach.

One of the quickest ways of engaging customers and gauging the response to things like a new product is using poll and voting features.

5) Case studies

Case studies exemplify successful campaigns and are an opportunity to showcase that you’ve worked with high profile brands.

And, they are useful if you want to build your client base with similar customers for example, technology. A technology case study will demonstrate to a software business owner that your offering has worked wonders for a business like theirs and encourage them to decide.
