Service design

Service design goes beyond UX, taking into account all manner of touchpoints, interactions and platforms. Our process for effective content design starts with researching the target audience and knowing the needs of customers. Based on those needs, the journey of your design is mapped and the required techniques and tools are selected. Successfully serving 270,000 customers

Waltham Forest is one of London's largest boroughs. They have had over 270,000 residents and need to ensure that when they need a specific service, such as pest control, they can access this in an irk-free way (unlike many council sites).

Our job was to understand this (through User Research with local groups and residents) and then design a service that would guarantee a non-sticky route for ordering and paying for these services online. We also designed the back-office systems that allowed WFS to deliver these services as effectively as possible. This service has been live for over 12 months now and has far exceeds the original KPIs set in terms of customer service and cost to serve.
